Interesting selections with interesting themes

All along this year we have been working with different stories, poems and a play. Our last literature quarterly consisted in selecting three poems, two stories and the play and connect it with a theme. Later, we had to make thematic statement of those themes, supporting it with quotations and explanation of the selected quotations. Finally, we had to gather all the information and make a collage, including images.

In this quarterly we have choosed:
  • Billenium, by J. G. Ballard
  • Sredni Vashtar, by Saki (Hector Hugo Munro)
  • An Inspector Calls, by J. B. Priestley
  • Love (III), by George Herbert
  • Father Returning Home, by Dilip Chitre
  • Lovers' Infinitness, by John Donne

My home is my life

In literature we read poems. A poem which describes what you feel arriving your home, a poem describing how your parents met and fell in love and finally a poem which describes someone you really like.
I had to choose one of this poems and write my own version of the poem. I choosed the poem about home.
Here is my poem:

The sensation I feel before I
enter my home is pure
hapiness, I start thinking of all the
things waiting for me, a nap,
television and other relaxing
things.

Once I cross the door I
feel all this hapiness,
my mother is awaiting me
with love and snacks,
my father invites me to see a
movie, my brothers doing jokes
and fighting.

My home is my shelter, my
place to be free, my
everything.
My home is my life.
