Catastrophe of the Twin Towers

In 2001, 9/11 the Twin Towers were destructed two planes in a terroristm attack. The attack killed 2,996 people and cost at least $10 billion in property and infrastructure damage. The planes came from Europe.

Where? In New York City.
When? September 11, 2001.
What? Destruction of the twin towers by two planes.
Who were involved? 2, 996 people died, terroristm.
Why? No one knows. It's supposed that Bin Laden and Al Qaeda wanted Americans people to die.

I felt very scared and terrified.

What things did you see?
Al lot of death and destruction.

Why were you there?
I was there because I used to work there.

The origin of the ocean

Answers:

1) What condition God said to the people?
2) What had done God to help them?
3) What happened at the end?

1_ The God's condition was that the people of Tebas built  him a temple to be more famous in the city.
2_ The God made an ocean  to help the people of Tebas.
3_  At the end the people had the ocean but they forget to built the temple of the God so he decided to punished them by adding salt to the ocean so many people died.

The creation of the tomatoes

A long time ago there was a town with no more than a hundred people.The people were very happy, they worked as farmers, they cultivated and they raised animals like cows or sheeps. Children went to school and some of them worked as farmers with their parents. But the girls helped their mothers to sew. But one  spring morning when the farmers woke up early they realised that the crops were not there. The time passed and they were very hungry so Zeus, the most powerful god, decided to make them a giff to to survived.

The farmers were starving and as they worked cultivating the soil and raising the animals  and earned money in that way they had not money, so Zeus the most powerful god, decided to make a thunder as his gift. It consisted in placed the seeds in the Nilo river and when the river was in the higher way he would  create a thunder and the tomato seed wetted in holy water would grow but the process would delay. Poseidon used the time and  he made a tsunami and all the crops that were growing died. Suddenly Zeus listened that, and he get very angry and fought against Poseidon. It became a gods fight between Poseidon and Zeus.

Poseidon and Zeus started to fight. Poseidon threw a lot of water to Zeus and he threw a ray but Poseidon covered him with more water and threw it all to him. The water was electrified because of the ray so Zeus finished electrified.
Zeus called all the gods to help him to destroy Poseidon. Nobody helped him except Hades, the god of the red fire. So one night they went to the castle of Poseidon to kill him. Poseidon was sleeping so Hades distracted the guards of the castle while Zeus went to kill Poseidon. Zeus quietly entered to the room and threw a ray to the head of Poseidon and burned his brain, so he died.
Zeus and Hades gathered their powers and created a red ray and finally they created the tomatoes.

Hangout lejano

Todos los alumnos del Colegio Newlands de 1ero hicimos un hangout con un doctor, pediatra que era papá de una de las alumnas, José Vega. A el le ofrecieron viajar a Mongomo, Guinea Ecuatorial, África a un hospital privado llamado Virgen de Guadalupe. Entonces decidimos hacer un hangout y hacerle varias preguntas como:
-Cual era la enfermedad mas frecuente allá.
-Cual fue el caso mas extraño que tubo que atender.

Pero nuestro principal objetivo era hablar sobre el Ébola y nos dijo que nunca había tenido un caso de Ébola por suerte.

Realidad Modificada: Arte


Estructura de una cara: Dibujamos las lineas principales de la cara
 en la primer cara y luego a partir de esas lineas cada uno invento una cara, el dibujo de la derecha.


Más adelante hicimos trabajos que se basan en Art Noveau, en algunas características son:
  • Se desligó del Simbolismo en busca de una autenticidad de época.
  • Es el primer movimiento que se desprende casi por completo de la imitación de estilos anteriores (Renacimiento, Barroco, Neoclasicismo, Romanticismo, etc.) en busca de la identidad de lo urbano y lo moderno, puesto que nacía un nuevo siglo.
  • Utiliza técnicas que le son propias: la reproducción mecánica, como la xilografía, el cartelismo, la impresión...
  • Estéticamente resultan imágenes planas, lineales, ornamentales, que se reducen a una economía de medios que las dota de singular belleza, se alejan de la figuración para centrarse en el mero adorno, muy cerca del diseño industrial
  • Las únicas conexiones estilísticas que se le pueden encontrar son las del Prerrafaelismo del último Romanticismo inglés, y el Movimiento llamado Artes y Oficios. A su extraordinaria difusión contribuyó lo agradable y fácil de su lectura, ayudada por el inicio de la revista ilustrada y las exposiciones internacionales, dos hechos que aparecen en la década de 1890. 


Autorretrato y fondo: Hicimos un autorretrato y remarcamos las lineas con negro, y le creamos un fondo con el dibujo de observación de la naturaleza, pintando con tempera toda la hoja y con la punta del pincel pasamos las figuras del trabajo de observación de la naturaleza y con blanco remarcamos alrededor de  las lineas para que se distingan.  



Autorretrato virtual: Le sacamos una foto a nuestro autorretrato y lo pasamos a algún programa en la que la podamos pintar, yo utilize el programa Sketches y como ven en la imagen la pintamos y con el color negro remarcamos las lineas.



Luego pasamos a otra etapa que es la técnica de mosaicos: los mosaicos son una obra pictórica elaborada con pequeñas piezas de piedra, cerámica, vidrio u otros materiales similares de diversas formas y colores, llamadas yeso, unidas mediante yeso u otro aglomerante, para formar composiciones decorativas geométricas o figurativas.


Dibujo de un animal argentino: Al principio comenzamos dibujando en lápiz un animal de Argentina, yo dibuje un caballo.


Mosaico: Cuando termine el dibujo puse una hoja negra debajo del dibujo y remarque con  tiza sobre todas las lineas del caballo. La tiza hizo se paso a la hoja negra y el caballo tambien quedo hecho en la hoja negra. Luego comenzamos a utilizar la tecina de mosaico utilizando pequeños papeles recortados de revistas, ya que esto es de Realidad Modificada y hay que reutilizar.


Mosaico diferente: Trabajamos con un tercio de una hoja de color negro, tuvimos que hacer lo mismo que en el primer mosaico, nada mas que aca tuvimos que dibujar cualquier tipo de figura.


Por ultimo trabajamos con Antonio Gaudifue un arquitecto español, máximo representante del modernismo catalan. Él tenia un sentido innato de la geometria y el volumen, así como una gran capacidad imaginativa que le permitía proyectar mentalmente la mayoría de sus obras antes de pasarlas a planos. Unas de las caracteristicas que el usaba eran: la técnica de mosaico, usaba mosaicos reciclados y las lineas de la naturaleza.


Las lineas de la naturaleza: le sacamos una foto a una flor con una planta, luego observamos las lineas principales y lo dibujamos.


Boceto de la escultura: con el dibujo anterior tuvimos que hacer un dibujo de una casa o edificio abstracto, hice un boceto de una arquitectura con las lineas del dibujo, igual que Gaudi.


"Escultura"; Por último pasamos el trabajo anterior a 3D y lo cubrimos con papel higiénico y el conocido como engrudo Art Attack (agua y plasticola) y por último los pintamos de blanco.  

Experimento interesante

En el colegio hicimos un experimento en el laboratorio y tenia que ver con la densidad. Para realizar esto utilizamos un jarrón con agua, un huevo, una cuchara y sal, la sal nos sirvio de mucho para hacer esto, en el video van a ver porque. Aqui les dejo el video:

Un estudiante igual a todos

A partir del poema "El mal estudiante" de Prévert, escribimos un autorretrato.

Yo soy el estudiante que quiere ir al colegio y a la vez no. Quiero ir al colegio porque en cierto sentido esta bueno venir al colegio y aprender algo y estar con tus compañeros, yo a veces presto atención y a veces me distraigo.Y a la vez no quiero ir porque también me gustaría quedarme en mi cama durmiendo.

The Elephant and the Fox

Some years ago in the African's savannah, there was a very funny and annoying red fox. His name was Tom and he liked very much joking the others. He lived alone and he didn't have a family. But he didn't care of that. He lived in a very old and no so big tree, that was in the middle of the savannah, so he was closed to all and joked to any he wanted at any time. He annoyed so much that he didn't have any friend. The only friend that he had was his toy mouse.
Tom was always bored and as he liked bother the others, the only thing that he thought doing for get funny was bother. He thought how can bother for a long time but nothing come to his head because he has bother all but the elephant was the only one that he hasn't bother. So bother the elephant came to his head and he stood up and went to look the elephant. When he found the elephant, he thought how to  bother it, and thought about his toy mouse. He went to his house that was near and took the toy mouse that was there and he come back with the elephant. He throw the toy mouse to the elephant and the elephant faint.
One week later Tom continue joking to Jack. Jack started to get angry. Jack thought all the week about having revenge to Tom and in the end of the week he think to do to Tom the same things that Tom had do to him. The next day he went to Tom's house and put a poster of a lion in the kitchen and when Tom came back he saw Jack and they drank a tea. One hour later Jack started to shout ¡a lion, a lion! Tom didn't believe him but when he saw the poster he run away. Then Jack said that it was a joke and Tom started to cry.
Tom stayed locked in his bedroom crying for a week. He felt exactly as Jack when he do a joke like that to Jack, he realised that all the jokes he did to Jack were terrible and he felt very, very sorry. When Tom finally got out of the bedroom he started looking for Jack. He looked for him everywhere but he didn’t found it. In the morning of the other day Tom woke up and started looking for Jack in the woods. When Tom was looking for Jack he felt tired, so he rested in a big tree. Tom was about to fall asleep but he heard a sound inside the tree, so he made a hole in the tree and looked inside, Jack was inside and Tom apologized for all the things he did to him. Jack accept his apologies and became friends.
Moral: don't do other what you don't want them to do to you.

Creative writing task

I arrived at the Middle Ages and I couldn't find Steve. I was very worried because I didn't find Steve but at the same I was very excited of being in the Middle Ages. When I appeared I was in a field with other horses, I looked down and I saw that I had 4 legs, horse shoes and I loved eating grass! I start looking for Steve, I talked to the horses but no one understood me. Suddenly, a knight appeared to choose one of the horses for his joust and he chose me. When we were going to  joust I said "Hi" and the knight said "Max, is it you?". That's how I found Steve.

Problemas en el mundo (realidad modificada)

Muchos seres vivos estan en riesgo de extinción por causa de la contaminación ambiental, por ejemplo el pingüino. También esto esta pasando por el consumo de recursos, por ejemplo la tala de árboles, que se usa principalmente para el papel y otras cosas más. Esto lo hace el hombre y causa un impacto ambiental malo, perjudicando al medio ambiente.
Todas estas contaminaciones hacen mal a la biodiversidad.
