Diary Entry

I wrote a diary entry about a grandmother that knit and she love very much knitting, she does it all the time. Her family told her to stop knitting but she refused.

January 6th, 2013

Dear diary,
Today was a day like all the days I live.
I woke up in the morning, had breakfast and then I started knitting. I knitted a lot, I knitted two scarves and two pull-overs till midday. When I was young I knitted twice this things till midday, but that's because I was younger and my hands were faster, I am old now and my hands are slower. At midday I had lunch, I ate a sandwich of chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, ham, cheese and ketchup. Then I had dessert that was vanilla ice-cream. That's the thing that I always eat after knitting in the morning till midday. Then, in the afternoon, I knitted again and I remembered when I was young and knitted faster, after that I gave the things I knitted to my family. My family doesn't want me to knit for them because they said that they have too much already more than they can wear and that there's no necessity to do that much. I will still knit for them because I love them and that's the only thing that is interesting to me. When the night came I rested watching TV, then had dinner, and then knitted a pull-over for my son. Now I'm going to sleep.

                       Good Night

The nearby town of Puerto Varas was also under a state of alert. Residents are said to be "very, very frightened".

Reserva Santa Catalina
